Some steps in this tutorial meant to help you to upgrade from 2.x / 3.0.x OS to 3.1.2 OS, please ignore them if you have already OS 3

1- First u have to download & install iTunes in your computer

from here (You dont need to do this if you  already have OS 3.0 installed on your IPHONE)

2- Download Blackra1n from here

3- Download OS 3.1.2

(2G): iPhone1,1_3.1.2_7D11_Restore.ipsw

(3G): iPhone1,2_3.1.2_7D11_Restore.ipsw

(3GS): iPhone2,1_3.1.2_7D11_Restore.ipsw

to your computer, make sure to remember where did you save it.

4- Connect your iPhone to the computer & run the iTunes (You dont need to do this if you  already have OS 3.1.2 installed on your IPHONE)

5- Press & hold the Shift Button in your keyboard & press the restore button in the iTunes (You dont need to do this if you  already have OS 3.0 installed on your IPHONE)

7- it will ask u for the OS 3.1.2 file just navigate for it & select it (You dont need to do this if you  already have OS 3.0 installed on your IPHONE)

wait for the iTunes to finish installing the new firmware, once its finish

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE YOU START THE PROCESS:

8- double click the blackra1n & run the program

9- Make sure your iPhone is connected to the computer then click the make it ra1n button

10- Your iPhone will now be placed in recovery mode.

11- You will see a picture of GeoHot that replaces the regular recovery mode screen on your device.

12- blackra1n will run and then your device will reboot.

13- A popup message will appear informing you that BlackRa1n is free software and if you appreciate it you can donate

14- Once your device reboots it will be jailbroken and you will notice a blackra1n icon on the Springboard. Make sure you have an internet connection and press to launch the application.

15- Choose the installer application of your choice then press to select sn0w if you would like to unlock your device. Press the Install button at the top right of the screen to begin.

16- BlackRa1n will begin to download and install the package you selected.

17- If you chose to unlock device using blacksn0w you will be presented with a Post Install log for sn0w. CommCenter will be restarted and there is no need to reboot.

18- Press the Close button to continue.

19- Once complete BlackRa1n will respring your iPhone and you will find the installer package of your choice on the Springboard.

20- Once you have confirmed your installer package is working correctly you may use the Uninstall blackra1n button inside the BlackRa1n app to remove it from your springboard.

A- Jailbreak Iphone 3G

4- Extract the RedSn0w to a new folder (right mouse on the software icon on your machine and then extract)

5- Connect your iPhone to your Mac & run the iTunes (You dont need to do this if you  already have OS 3.0 installed on your IPHONE)

6- Press & hold the Shift Button in your keyboard & press the restore button in the iTunes (You dont need to do this if you  already have OS 3.0 installed on your IPHONE)

7- It will ask u for the file (iPhone1,2_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw) just navigate for it & select it (You dont need to do this if you  already have OS 3.0 installed on your IPHONE)

wait for the iTunes to finish installing the new firmware, once its finish

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE YOU START THE PROCESS:

In This stage please shut down ITUNE whenever it tries to lunch

8- run the redsnw0w.app & after it started click on browse

9- select the file (iPhone1,2_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw)

10- After it verify the file click next

11- Select (Install Cydia) and then click next

12- Switch off your iPhone & connect it to the PC then click next

Now follow the steps in redsn0w step by step & you have to tack care and by fast, if u missed the steps just go back & try again

13- Hold Down The Power Button for 2 seconds

14- keep holding the power button & hold the home button (together) don’t release the power button for 10 seconds

15- now release the Power button & keep holding the home button for 30 second or until you see a white screen in the iPhone

now iPhone will reboot

Now wait for redsn0w to unlock your iPhone & upload the new ram

redsn0w will tell u that its finish, just wait untill the iPhone restart

(Congratulations you have jail break your iPhone )

B- Unlock Iphone 3GS

if your iphone is officially unlocked u don’t need to do this step.

1- Run the Cydia from the Programs Menu

2- Select Manage at the bottom of the menu

3- Press the Sources button in the center

4- Press the Edit button at the top right of the screen

5- Press the Add button at the top left of the screen

6- type http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com/ then press the Add Source button

7- wait until Cydia add the Source then press thr Return to Cydia button

8- Press the Done button at the top right of the screen

9- Press on repo666.ultrasn0w.com from the  sources list

10- Press on ultrsn0w from the list

11- Press the Install button at the top right of the screen

12- Press the Confirm button at the top right of the screen

13- After installation complete press the Return to Cydia button

14- Switch off your iPhone then Switch it on again

After iPhone starts u will see that you have signal, you will be able to make calls & Use any SIM card you want

CONGRATULATION …

A- Jailbreak Iphone 3GS

1- Create a new folder on your computer

2- Make sure that your Antivirus Software is DISABLED before moving to setp 3

3-Download this tool From here and save it in a new folder

4- Connect your Iphone to your computer (plug the USB cable in your computer and hook it with your Iphone), if Itune turns on you have to close it

5- Run the program purplera1n (double click on the icon) then press on make it ra1n

purplera1n will run and then your device will reboot

purplera1n is done just wait for the reboot

6- Unplug your Iphone from your computer.

7- Now you can see the Freeze icon in your Programs Menu, Open it

8- When Freeze open click on Install Cydia

9- Wait Until Cydia Installed then reboot your iPhone (turn it off using the power button at the top of your Iphone -press and hold for three seconds-, wait until it is off, then turn it again using the same button -press and hold for 3 seconds-)

10- When the iPhone has rebooted you can run Cydia. Just Let it do all the necessary updates

Congratulations you Just jailbreak your iPhone

Note: To remove the Freeze icon from your desktop you can install CyDelete from Cydia then use it to delete the application

B- Unlock Iphone 3GS
